  • Thanks to John Gilbert, a long time member of Ferko for the explanation of the 1933 parade.
  • "There was no official parade. Bands paraded for the entertainment of the public and NO PRIZES were awarded. Seven bands paraded on Broad Street and marched in the following order. Golden Slipper - Trixie - Philadelphia - Ferko - Hegeman - Aqua - Broomall. Four string bands, along with several fancy and comic clubs took part in a pay for admission program at Municipal Stadium. They were Quaker City - Woodland - 69th. Street and Kensington. Prizes were awarded as follows, Quaker City, Kensington, Woodland and 69th. Street. Harry Whitman, Captain of 69th. Street won the Captains cup. These prizes do not count towards the bands records as this was not a Mummers Parade."
